About this Space: This is our primary hub for client support. We operate in a shared community space alongside partner agencies (such as SORCe) to provide wraparound care.

Kanakaatsi’nom – Elders’ Drop-in Centre
(“All Friends Place”)

Elders’ Drop-In Centre Location: 4630 16 Ave NW, Calgary Days of Operation:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

  • Wednesday: CLOSED

  • Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED

Visit this location for:

  • Community Connection: A place to visit with friends, share stories, and share laughter.

  • Cultural Activities: Smudge, prayer, beadwork, and traditional crafts.

  • Wellness & Fun: Bingo, exercise classes, and educational workshops.

  • Refreshments: Coffee, tea, and light snacks.

About this Space: This centre serves as a “home away from home” for our seniors. It is a dedicated space where Elders can gather to maintain social connections, practice culture, and avoid isolation in a safe, respectful environment.

Elders’ Drop-In Centre (“KANAKAA’TSINOM”)

About this Residence: Omahkitapioyis is a dedicated independent living facility for Indigenous Elders. We provide safe, affordable, and culturally grounded housing where Elders can live with dignity and community connection.

Unit Features:

  • Suite Type: 1-Bedroom Apartments

  • Amenities: Full kitchen, living area, and private bathroom.

  • Building: Secure entry, shared common areas for social gathering, and on-site laundry.

Eligibility & Application:

  • Who Can Apply: Indigenous Elders (Seniors) capable of independent living.

  • How to Apply: To inquire about vacancy or to request an application form, please contact the Property Manager via email or phone.

  • Note: There may be a waitlist for suites.

⚠️ Please Note: This is a private residential facility. We do not offer walk-in services or public drop-in hours at this location. For social programs, please visit our Elders’ Drop-In Centre on 16th Ave NW.

The Elders’ Lodge (Omahkitapioyis)

About this Space: Named in honour of Elder Jackie Bromley, this building provides safe, culturally grounded housing for our community members, fostering a sense of belonging and stability.

Indigenous Warming Centre

Location: 4628 16 Ave NW, Calgary (Below the Elders’ Drop-in Centre)
Status: NOW OPEN (Winter Season)

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • A safe, warm space to escape the cold.

  • Food & Drink: Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, porridge, soup, and granola bars.

  • Supplies: Winter gear and hygiene toiletries.

  • Culture: Smudge, cultural connection, and safety.

About this Space: While our doors are open to all community members, our focus is on providing culturally grounded support to Indigenous relatives experiencing homelessness.

About this Space: Created in partnership with The Confluence, this dedicated space offers a free, accessible sanctuary for Indigenous Peoples to hold ceremony and gather on the land.
