AFCC Partners with Calgary Hitmen for Every Child Matters Game

The Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC) is proud to announce that we are an official sponsor of the 6th Annual Every Child Matters Game.

This special event blends high-level hockey with a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture and a shared commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

Join us at the Scotiabank Saddledome as the Calgary Hitmen take on the Red Deer Rebels.

2nd Intermission Round Dance

The AFCC is especially honoured to be the presenting sponsor of the 2nd Intermission Round Dance.

We invite everyone in attendance to join us on the concourse for this powerful demonstration of friendship.

Honouring the Children

The “Every Child Matters” game is more than just hockey. It is a day to promote Indigenous language, history, and culture in a visible and meaningful way.

Most importantly, it honours the children who never came home from residential schools, the Survivors, and the families who continue to carry that history. It serves as a reminder that Indigenous children are sacred and that reconciliation requires action from all of us.

Partners in Reconciliation

We are humbled to stand alongside our fellow sponsors who are supporting this important initiative:

  • CDN Controls

  • Blackfoot Confederacy

  • Taza Park Volkswagen

  • Big Four Roadhouse

We look forward to seeing you there as we come together as Many Nations, One Family.
