Indigenous Leadership Wins: Celebrating AFCC Staff at the Art Smith Awards!
We are thrilled and truly humbled to celebrate the remarkable success of our team at the Art Smith Awards, hosted by the Calgary Homeless Foundation (CHF) and generously sponsored by Cavvy Energy.
This recognition confirms a powerful truth: Everyone wins when the community is served with Indigenous-led wisdom and compassionate care.
The Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC) celebrated four dedicated nominees and two incredible winners last night! This achievement belongs to the entire community, as it validates the human-centered approach we bring to ending homelessness. We are proud to see the hard work and dedication of our staff honoured in such a significant way.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Elder Jackie Bromley for her powerful opening prayer, grounding the event in cultural respect and guidance.
