Oki, Danit’ada, Âba wathtech, Tansi, Taanshi!

Get your Powwow Sweat on! The Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC) is coming together with Carya to invite our community to a beautiful evening of cultural connection, movement, and shared healing.

As part of the Art for ALL Indigenous Culture Series, this gathering is designed to create a welcoming and culturally safe space where we can all connect and celebrate our traditions in a good way. Gathering to share a traditional meal and learn Powwow dance teachings is a wonderful way to uplift our spirits and strengthen our bonds as an urban Indigenous family.

Whether you are looking to learn new Powwow dance steps or simply want to enjoy good food and great company, there is a place for you. The evening will feature a guided Powwow Sweat session, a delicious traditional meal, and shared activities meant to bring our people together in a good way.
