Expanding Indigenous Community Services Calgary
We are especially thrilled to share exciting updates on our expanding housing initiatives. You can read all about the newly refreshed O’takii Tsika Housing Initiative and our future Crescent Heights sanctuary. We also celebrate the ongoing success of the Omahkkitapioyis Elders Lodge Apartments, which provides safe and culturally appropriate urban Indigenous housing.
Our Kanakaa’tsinom Elders Drop-In Centre continues to be a vibrant hub of activity, offering a welcoming place for our Elders to gather, share meals, and pass down their wisdom. It is just one example of the comprehensive Indigenous community services Calgary residents can access through the AFCC. By blending traditional knowledge with modern care, we ensure our community members receive the dignity and respect they truly deserve.
