Medicine for the Mind Part 2: Soup, Bannock & Stories

The community spoke, and we listened. After an incredibly successful first session for Bell Let’s Talk Day, the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC) is proud to announce that Medicine for the Mind Part 2 is coming this February.

The demand for safe, culturally grounded spaces to discuss mental wellbeing is clear. We are honoured to bring this circle back to ensure more community members have the opportunity to connect, share, and heal.

Cultivating Mental Wellbeing Through Culture

facilitated by Alanna Many Bears, this workshop is designed to help you empower yourself by reframing stress with positivity. We believe that culture is medicine, and by coming together, we can nurture our growth through meditation and shared experience.

Guests will enjoy a traditional meal of soup and bannock while connecting with community members in a supportive environment.
