The Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary is pleased to share the Honouring Life calendar for January 2026. As we step into the new year, we look forward to reconnecting with our youth through in-school programming and land-based teachings.
📅 Important Dates to Remember January is a time for both rest and cultural celebration. Please mark your calendars for these special events:

January 4: National Ribbon Skirt Day – A day to honour Indigenous identity, culture, and resilience. We encourage everyone to wear their skirts with pride!

January 5 – 16: Winter Break – No programming scheduled as our team and students recharge.

January 20 – 22: In-School Programming – Our facilitators return to schools to connect with youth.

January 27 – 29: In-School Programming – Continuing our weekly support and connection.

January 30: Land Based Day & Fire Teachings – Join us for a powerful day of learning on the land.
