Homeward Bound Indigenous Housing Initiative
Community, culture, and housing come together at the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC).
We are proud to offer the Homeward Bound Indigenous Housing Initiative. This program is designed to support community members through wrap-around case management services using a trauma-informed approach.
Our dedicated team focuses primarily on securing and maintaining housing stability, alongside assistance with physical health, mental health, cultural connections, and substance use.
What is Provided?
Participants in the Homeward Bound program receive dedicated support, including:

Housing support and stability planning

Cultural connection

Life skills development

Medical referrals
Eligibility

Target Audience: Single adults, 18 years of age and older.

Inclusivity: This is a referral-based program that is primarily Indigenous-focused. However, services are provided in a non-discriminatory and inclusive manner, and individuals of all cultural backgrounds are welcome.
How to Apply (Registration Required)
Please note: Registration and a completed referral are required to participate in this program. We are unable to accommodate walk-in appointments for these services.
