Honouring Life November Calendar: Programs & Key Dates
The Honouring Life Youth Program is excited to announce the start of our Honouring Life November Calendar, bringing more opportunities for healing through culture to Indigenous youth (ages 14-21). As the weather shifts, we remain dedicated to providing safe, culturally-rich spaces for connection, learning, and growth.
Healing is the main focus of Honouring Life, and our programs are designed to empower youth to strengthen their identity and build resilience by connecting with Elders and tradition. We continue our commitment to weekly, year-round programming in partnership with the Trellis Society.
Key November Events & Programming

November 8: Indigenous Veterans Day

November 10: Youth Sweat Ceremony (Registration is required for this important ceremony.)

November 11: Remembrance Day (Please note: The AFCC Main Office and Elders’ Drop-In Centre are closed.)
- November 21: Into the Light Theatre Show (Registration Required)
- November 28: Youth Banff Trip (Registration Required)
Throughout the month, our program will feature regular sessions, including Homework Help, Drumming Circles, and traditional arts. Consistent engagement with these cultural practices is vital for fostering strong Indigenous identities and mental wellness.
