Welcome to the July 2025 schedule for the Kanakaa’tsinonam (Elder’s Place) Elder’s Drop-In Centre! We are located at 4630 16 Ave NW and are excited to host another month of engaging activities and community connection.

Get ready for these special events happening at the Elder’s Drop-In Centre this July:

Stampede Pin Craft: Get into the Stampede spirit by making your own pin on Thursday, July 3rd, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Annual Stampede BBQ: Join us for our yearly Stampede BBQ on Tuesday, July 8th.

Stampede BINGO: Try your luck at our Stampede BINGO event on Thursday, July 10th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Summer Feast: Celebrate the season with our Summer Feast on Thursday, July 31st, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Recurring Programs & Workshops
We are delighted to offer a variety of recurring programs and workshops for our Elders:

Coffee, Tea & Bannock: Join us for refreshments and conversation every Friday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Many Voices One Goal Sharing Circle: This sharing circle takes place on Monday, July 7th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Craft Catch-Up Day: Bring your projects and craft with friends on Monday, July 14th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Star Blanket: Learn the art of Star Blanket making. Sessions are on Tuesday, July 15th, Thursday, July 17th, and Thursday, July 24th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Cooking Class: Join our cooking class on Monday, July 21st, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Wooden Feather Painting: Express your creativity with wooden feather painting on Tuesday, July 22nd, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Not Alone Tea Party: Enjoy good company at our Not Alone Tea Party on Monday, July 28th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Dream Catcher Shield: Create your own Dream Catcher Shield on Tuesday, July 29th, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Holiday Closures
Please note the following dates when the centre will be closed:

Canada Day: Closed on Tuesday, July 1st.

Wednesdays: Closed every Wednesday in July.

Stampede Begins: Closed on Friday, July 4th.
Our regular hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
