Discover the FNHC Youth Traditional Teepee Teachings Summer Program!

An incredible opportunity awaits young people aged 12-17 this summer! The First Nations Health Consortium (FNHC) invites youth to connect with Indigenous culture, engage in land-based learning, and develop valuable life skills. This program runs throughout July and August 2024.

What to Expect in this Free Program: Designed to immerse youth in traditional Indigenous knowledge, participants will experience:

  • Authentic teepee teachings
  • Engaging land-based learning activities
  • Traditional games and crafts
  • Meaningful cultural activities and inspiring Elders’ stories
  • Opportunities for leadership skill development and identity building

This program fosters holistic well-being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—all within a supportive environment. Lunch and snacks are provided daily!

Who Can Join?

  • Youth aged 12-17 years.

Program Dates & Times (2024): The program is offered in weekly sessions:

  • July 8-12
  • July 15-19
  • July 22-26
  • August 12-16 Daily Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (for each day of the session week).
