Oki, and congratulations, friends!
Welcome to the final day of our Star Blanket making journey. We are filled with pride and excitement to gather with our Indigenous Elders and seniors for this special moment. As always, all seniors are welcome to join in the celebration.
You have worked with skilled hands and open hearts. You have shared stories and supported one another. Now, it is time to complete your beautiful creations.
On Day 3, our final day together, we will add the finishing touches. We will sew on the borders and backing, making your Star Blanket whole and complete. This is the moment where all your work comes together into a sacred item that holds your spirit, your stories, and your prayers.
Let’s celebrate this wonderful achievement together. You are creating a powerful symbol of our culture and a cherished gift for your loved ones.
