For those seeking engaging seniors craft activities in Calgary, the final session of our June Tea Dress Making workshop offers a wonderful opportunity for community, creativity, and connection. This concluding session is dedicated to putting the finishing touches on the beautiful dresses we have started together, celebrating the journey of their creation in a supportive and joyful environment.
Celebrating Our Shared Accomplishment
The Kanakaa’tsinom Elder’s Centre is a true space for healing, learning, and community connections, and this workshop finale embodies that mission. There is a unique sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from completing a project with your own hands alongside friends. This session will be a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where our cultural support team will provide one-on-one assistance to help everyone complete their garment. We will take time to admire the finished Tea Dresses, share the stories woven into them, and honour the skill and dedication of every participant.
This event is more than just a craft class; it is one of the most fulfilling seniors craft activities in Calgary, designed to foster well-being and strengthen cultural ties. This workshop is a perfect example of our cultural programming. To see what else is happening, please view our full Elder’s Centre Events page.
