Start your Friday with good company at the Kanakaa’tsinom Elder’s Centre. Our weekly “Coffee, Tea, & Bannock” gathering is one of our most cherished Indigenous social events in Calgary, offering a warm and welcoming space for Elders, Seniors, and community members to connect. Every Friday morning, we put on a fresh pot of coffee and tea and serve delicious, hot bannock, creating the perfect setting to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
A True Space for Connection
This weekly social is at the very heart of our mission: to provide a true space for healing, learning, and community connections. It embodies the spirit of our centre’s name, Kanakaa’tsinom, or “All Friends Place”. While hosted at our Elder’s Centre, we warmly welcome all community members seeking conversation and friendship. It’s a casual, drop-in event where you can relax, share stories, and simply be in community together.
This is more than just a coffee meeting; it’s a vital part of our weekly rhythm and a cornerstone of the supportive environment we cultivate. These regular Indigenous social events in Calgary are essential for fostering well-being and strengthening the fabric of our community.
