Join us in the kitchen at the Kanakaa’tsinom Elder’s Centre for a fun, hands-on Community Cooking Class. This session is a wonderful opportunity for Indigenous Seniors—and any community members interested in learning a little more about cooking—to share a meal and connect with friends. This class is one of the many Indigenous seniors programs in Calgary we offer to foster community.
The Joy of Cooking Together
We believe that preparing and sharing food is a powerful form of community building. This class is more than just learning a single recipe; it’s about the joy of creating something delicious together. Participants will work alongside our friendly staff in an interactive and supportive environment. It’s a space to ask questions, practice kitchen techniques, and enjoy the reward of a shared meal at the end of the session.
This class is designed to be accessible to all skill levels. Whether you are a seasoned home cook or just starting out, the focus is on connection and fun in a culturally safe and welcoming space. To see what other events are happening this month, please visit the full Elder’s Centre calendar page.
