Honouring Our Fathers: A Keychain Craft Workshop🔑⛓️‍💥

June 10 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This year, create one of the most meaningful Indigenous Father’s Day gifts in Calgary at our special crafting session. The Kanakaa’tsinom Elder’s Centre invites you to a hands-on workshop to honour the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and mentors who guide our families and community. Together, we will create beautiful, handmade keychains infused with meaning and respect.

Crafting with Culture and Community

In many of our cultures, creating a gift with your own hands is a powerful way to show love and appreciation. This workshop is an opportunity to connect with tradition through the art of crafting. Using materials like leather, beads, and sinew, we will create a gift that carries story, intention, and spirit. This is more than just a craft session; it is a space to share stories, connect with fellow Elders, and celebrate the important role of fathers and father figures in our lives.

Our cultural support team will be there to share techniques and provide guidance in a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment. We believe that handmade Indigenous Father’s Day gifts in Calgary carry a special significance, and we are honoured to facilitate this creative process. This workshop is a key part of the cultural programming offered at the Kanakaa’tsinom Elder’s Centre.
