To celebrate and honour the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and mentors who strengthen our community, the Kanakaa’tsinom Elder’s Centre invites you to a special Father’s Day Feast. This meal is an opportunity for us to come together in the spirit of gratitude, share stories, and enjoy traditional foods as we celebrate the important men in our lives.
Sharing a Meal in Community
In our cultures, sharing a meal is a sacred act of community and connection. It’s a time to nourish our bodies and spirits, to listen to the wisdom of our Elders, and to build the bonds that make us strong. Our feast will feature a variety of delicious, catered dishes, including traditional options that bring the comfort and taste of home. We believe that coming together for Indigenous community feasts in Calgary is essential for our collective well-being and cultural vitality.
This event is hosted in the welcoming space of the Elder’s Drop-In Centre, a place designed for healing, learning, and connection. We welcome all Elders and Seniors to join us for this special occasion. For more information about our centre, please visit the main Kanakaa’tsinom Elder’s Centre page.
