Status Card Clinic

UPCOMING CLOSURES: Please note, the Status Card Clinic will be closed to the public on the following dates:

  • Friday, July 4, 2025

  • Tuesday, July 8, 2025

  • Thursday, July 31, through Friday, August 8, 2025 (inclusive)

Regular services will be available on all other business days. We thank you for your understanding.

AFCC Main Office & Indigenous Hub

Our downtown Indigenous Hub (iitaohkanitsini’kotsiiyio’p – “place of conversation”) is a welcoming space for community connection, cultural engagement, and direct support.

Welcome to the Kanakaa'tsinom Elder's Centre

Our Centre is a gathering space created for Indigenous Elders and Seniors. We warmly welcome all community members to join our programs in a spirit of friendship and respect.

Warm Up Thursdays: Community Soup Day🥣

In the spirit of community care and support, the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC) invites you to Warm Up Thursdays. Every week, we provide hot, nourishing soup to community members in need.

This initiative is a safe and welcoming space for anyone requiring a warm meal. Join us at our downtown Indigenous Hub every Thursday morning to enjoy a bowl of soup, connect with others, and feel the warmth of community. Soup is served starting at 9:00 AM until we run out.

  • What: Free hot soup for community members.
  • When: Every Thursday, starting at 9:00 AM (until supplies last).
  • Where: AFCC Indigenous Hub (Main Office), 316 – 7 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB.
  • Details: We serve approximately 50 bowls each Thursday. All are welcome.
