Official poster for the AFCC Family Field Trip to harvest Saskatoon berries and visit the Okotoks Glacial Erratic on July 31, 2025
Oki, families!
Get ready for one of our most beloved annual traditions! The AFCC Cultural Reconnection & Community Development program invites your family on an unforgettable trip to connect with the land, our history, and each other.
Join us for a beautiful day of
Saskatoon Berry Harvesting & a visit to the Okotoks Glacial Erratic (Ohkotoki)!
Our day will be spent under the sun, harvesting sweet Saskatoon berries together—a tradition that has nourished our people for generations. Afterwards, we will travel to the sacred site of the Okotoks Glacial Erratic, also known as Ohkotoki or “Big Rock.” There, we will share a delicious lunch and enjoy a picnic in the presence of this ancient geological wonder.
This is a perfect opportunity to create lasting memories with your family, teach your children about important cultural traditions, and connect with other families in the community.
This is a very popular trip and space is limited. Please read the registration details carefully:
