Oki, Youth! Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure?
AFCC’s Youth Program invites you to connect with the land, our culture, and each other on the Howl Experience Day Trip. This is a powerful day for Indigenous youth to learn, share, and find their voice.
Our journey begins in the breathtaking beauty of Kananaskis. We will hike through the mountains, breathe the fresh air, and learn directly from our Elders about the sacred medicines of the land. This is a chance to walk in the footsteps of our ancestors and listen to the stories the land has to tell.
After our journey, we will gather together at the Kanakaatsi’nom – Elder’s Drop-in Centre for a celebratory feast. We will share a meal, and then sit in a knowledge-sharing circle with the Elders. It’s a time to ask questions, share what we’ve learned, and strengthen the bonds of our community.
This day is all about connection—to the land, to our teachings, and to each other.
This incredible experience is open to the public but has a limited capacity of only 15 youth. Spots will fill up fast! To secure your spot, please contact one of our coordinators.
