Calgary Alternative Support Services (CASS) is a Not-For-Profit Human Service Agency founded in 1988 to support people with disabilities to escape segregation and discrimination and live, work, play and, contribute to their communities. CASS’s work is a combination of advocacy, community development, and service to the people of Calgary.

Calgary Alternative Day Options is seeking a creative and laid-back staff to support individuals with their community access day programming. Supports will be provided in a hybrid in-home and in-community model based on the unique needs of the individuals.

Activities will be primarily recreational and will include leisure and special interest, as well as physical activity such as running, playing sports, and working out. Support with developing self and social awareness, and emotional regulation will also be provided. A valid driver's license and vehicle are required for this position.

The ability to help clients process their emotions, enthusiasm towards an active lifestyle, and being creative with finding community-inclusive activities are all considered assets. Previous experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities (including FASD and autism) is an asset. Flexibility, a sense of adventure, and a desire to learn new things and meet new people are mandatory.

The hourly rate begins at $19.25 and will increase to $20.25 upon completing a successful probationary period (90 days), completing mandatory training, and submitting complete documents. The schedule for this role will be Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
